Maritime Malta: A leading global maritime hub embraces challenges and opportunities to remain at the forefront of the international maritime industry.
Malta Business Network (MBN) UK is delighted to invite you to a showcase networking event being held at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), 4, Albert Embankment, London SE1 7SR on Tuesday 27 February 2024 at 1800hrs. The event is organised jointly with the Malta Maritime Forum (MMF) (mmf.org.mt) for legal and maritime industry professionals operating from the UK, as well as Maltese service providers from the maritime industry. The Hon. Dr Chris Bonett, Malta Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works, and Dr Charles Debattista, Member, 36 Stone, The 36 Group will both make short topical presentations during the event.
With a long maritime tradition alongside natural ports and a strategic geographical position in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea, Malta has today established itself as one of the leading maritime hubs and service centres in the Mediterranean region. Contributing more than 14% of Malta’s GDP and backed by a robust legal and regulatory framework, a talented and professional human resource and high-quality maritime infrastructure, the Maltese maritime sector offers a wide range of international maritime services and facilities for the maritime industry.
Speakers throughout the evening will guide the audience through the range of maritime services and facilities available and the overall advantages that Malta offers the investor in maritime activities. A reception will follow, providing an opportunity for networking. Members and their guests are also invited to attend the event and all must be pre-registered by name. Places are free for members and their guests although these may need to be limited depending on the final numbers, so please pre-register early.Please note this is a professional environment where the dress code is smart and we shall require all the names of MBN members and guests 48 hours prior to the event.
