The event will be moderated by Dr. Tonio Fenech (Partner at Fenech, Farrugia, Fiott Legal) and will feature a panel of industry experts including Annamaria Koerling (Managing Partner, Delfin Private Office), Conrad Cassar Torregiani (Country Leader, Deloitte Malta), and Dr. Ramona Piscopo (Co-founder and CEO, PHILO-SOPHIA Partners).

Dr Fenech has been a practising lawyer for over 30 years. His areas of practice and study have evolved originally focusing on asset finance, to gradually include the corporate commercial , corporate finance, fiduciary relationships, financial & investment services fields. Representing the 3rd generation of lawyers in his family, he developed the international and corporate practice of Fenech & Fenech Advocates after 1988 and was founding CEO of the Fenlex Group of Companies, now a substantial trust & corporate services group in Malta. In 2009, he became a Joint Managing Partner of the newly formed law firm Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal. This move allowed him to concretize his aspirations to develop an open-architecture legal practice and to focus on the development of the firm’s substantial corporate & commercial, asset finance, financial services & fiduciary relationships departments as well as ARQ Group, a multi-disciplinary professional services organisation based in Malta which includes licensed corporate and trustee service providers as well as multi-disciplinary advisory and risk/compliance services in such fields as tax, investment migration, gaming, financial services. Dr. Fenech served as founding chairman of the ARQ Group since inception in 2012 until 2018 and remains a director of several Group companies. Dr. Fenech has been an occasional speaker at public events in the field of organisational design & collaborative structures, besides topics which form part of his expertise. He lectures regularly at the University of Malta on asset finance law, insurance law as well as the law of trusts & fiduciary relationships. He is also the Honorary Consul of Lebanon in Malta.

Dr Ramona Piscopo is co-founder and CEO of PHILO-SOPHIA PARTNERS, a Single Family Office. She chairs the Investment Committees of all the affiliated entities. She also chairs and/or is a non-executive director on a few select companies. Previously Ramona practiced law for over 20 years and founded PISCOPARTNERS, a firm focusing on cross-border taxation, Mergers & Acquisitions. Ramona has published several papers on cross-border taxation and regularly speaks at conferences.

Conrad leads the Deloitte Malta Tax practice. Conrad has over 20 years of experience in the provision of tax advice to clients and dedicates the majority of his time to the provision of tax consultancy services to multinational or foreign based groups operating in Malta. Conrad is the Deloitte Central Mediterranean leader for the Sports and Gaming sector and is the current President of the Malta Institute of Taxation.

Annamaria is managing partner of Delfin Private Office, a business with a mission to help international families and their family offices achieve both investment and operational alpha. She is an experienced wealth management professional and senior business leader with a proven track record of business transformation and growth. She has 29 years’ experience in advising international families with a particular focus on solving complex multi-jurisdictional problems, drawing on deep industry experience spanning wealth management, banking, regulation and private markets. Aside from her main executive role, Annamaria is a Commissioner of The Jersey Financial Services Commission and a chairman of Praesidium, a private equity multi-family office. She is a Chartered Wealth Manager and served as a STEP judge for 3 years until 2021. She moved to Malta with her family in 2017.
