Willem Steenkamer – CEO & Founder, St Julian’s Finance
Willem Steenkamer is the CEO and Founder of St Julian’s Finance, a Malta-based company specialising in yacht asset-backed leasing solutions. Prior to establishing the company, he spent over 28 years at ING Group focusing on leasing and asset-backed finance. Under his leadership, St Julian’s Finance has grown into one of Europe’s leading yacht leasing providers, managing a portfolio of approximately 50 yachts with a combined asset value exceeding €160 million. The group has recently expanded into aviation financing through St Julian’s Aviation Leasing.

Angie Vassallo – Lead, Corporate & Syndicate Finance, Bank of Valletta plc
Angie Vassallo has worked within the Bank’s commercial lending units for the past 30 years and brings extensive experience in yacht finance. Throughout her career, she has structured bespoke financing solutions for high-value and complex transactions, advising international clients across multiple jurisdictions with a commercially focused approach to yacht financing.

Nicholas Travers Tauss – Group Managing Director, Tauss Holdings
Nicholas Travers Tauss heads the Malta office at Fraser Yachts as Managing Director and Sales Broker and leads Tauss Holdings, a group specialising in yacht sales, marina development, yacht management, vessel finance, and superyacht services. With more than two decades of experience and over €150 million in yacht sales across his career, he has played a significant role in the development of Malta’s yachting sector, including the establishment of Marina di Valletta beneath the historic city of Valletta.

Dr Anthony Galea – Founder, AG Advisory Limited
Dr Anthony Galea is the founder of AG Advisory Limited, a specialised advisory firm focusing on the yachting and aviation sectors. With over 20 years of experience, he advises yacht and aircraft owners, family offices, managers, and industry professionals on ownership, registration, finance, and management structures. His work combines technical expertise with a practical and client-focused approach across international markets.

Moderator

Dr Tonio Fenech – Advocate

Dr Tonio Fenech has dedicated a significant part of his professional career as a lawyer to the development of the marine and aviation finance industry in Malta. Alongside his broader practice in corporate law, trusts, and family business structures, he has maintained a strong academic and professional interest in asset finance. He currently coordinates the teaching of asset finance law at the University of Malta and serves on the executive committee of the Malta branch of the Society of Trust & Estates Practitioners.
