The Malta High Commission, in association with the Malta Business Network, are pleased to invite members to an event focusing on the implications of recent UK income tax and inheritance tax law changes, effective from 6 April 2025, affecting foreign nationals (non-UK domiciliaries) resident in the United Kingdom.
As cross-border financial and estate planning becomes increasingly complex, this session will provide valuable insight into how the new regulations may impact individuals, families, and advisors managing Maltese assets from the UK. The discussion will also explore the Malta perspective, covering key considerations, potential risks, and practical strategies to navigate the evolving legal and tax landscape.
This event features Chris Curmi and Andrew Goodman, two highly respected professionals in the fields of taxation, estate planning, and private wealth. Their combined expertise offers attendees a valuable opportunity to gain practical guidance on a rapidly evolving and highly relevant area.

Chris is a retired Tax Partner of Deloitte Malta with over 40 years of professional experience as a UK qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) in audit, tax, accounting and advisory services. Over the past 33 years, he specialised in cross-border international taxation and expatriate taxation, Family Offices and HNWIs, trust and estate planning, immigration and citizenship matters.
Following his retirement from Deloitte in June 2024, Chris currently serves as a non-executive director across several international entities, including a Malta-based Group Finance subsidiary of a US multinational and an Emirati-based Family Office. He is a founding and longstanding member of the Council of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners, where he chairs the Tax & EU Affairs Sub-Committee. He also serves as Chair of the Malta Branch of the International Fiscal Association and Council Member of the Malta Branch of STEP.
