Malta Business Network (MBN) UK is delighted to invite you to celebrate the appointment of H.E. Dr Emmanuel Mallia as honorary president of MBN UK at The Malta High Commission, Piccadilly on Tuesday 26th March at 6.00PM.
Dr Mallia read law at the University of Malta and is widely regarded by colleagues as one of Malta’s foremost advocates in Criminal Law. He has a remarkable number of trial by juries through his distinguished career and formed part of Defence teams in several Criminal Cases internationally. Dr Mallia was a Lecturer and Examiner of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at the University of Malta and the Academy of the Malta Police. Dr Mallia also served as director to several reputable companies, secretary-general of the Rent-a-Car Association, founder of many Employers’ Associations, amongst which are the Yacht Traders’ Association and the Used Car Importers Association.Dr Mallia served as President of the Casino Maltese (1852) for eight years, was Deputy President of the Malta Red Cross Society, and Chairman to a number of Sports Associations.From 2013 to 2021, Dr Mallia was an elected Maltese Member of Parliament and appointed Minister for Home Affairs and National Security, and later served as Minister for Competitiveness and Digital, Maritime and Services Economy.
