MBN UK invites you to another networking event in conjunction with the National Liberal Club Commonwealth and European Forums at the National Liberal Club (NLC) in London on Tuesday 28 March 2023 at 6.00PM.Our guest speakers are Dennis Gauci, Partner - International Clients, and Isaac Sammut, Business Development Manager, both from KSi Malta - a tax, legal advisory and corporate services firm providing a wide range of services to both local and international clients.
Dennis and Isaac will address some of the post-Brexit issues faced by UK businesses trading with Malta and the EU, and discuss how business can overcome such challenges, providing practical tips for UK businesses. They will explore the complexities for UK businesses doing business in the EU and look at what lies ahead. They will also provide detailed insights on setting up a presence in Malta, Malta’s competitive tax regime, as well as funding schemes and incentives in Malta.
Dennis Gauci obtained a Bachelors in Technology in 2005. Whilst studying, he also worked with several local renowned companies gaining considerable experience in the ICT industry. He furthered his studies by obtaining additional certifications from world recognized bodies such as Microsoft, CISCO, Linux and CEH.Dennis joined KSi Malta in 2008. At that time he was the partner in charge of all information technology related matters and led major consultancy projects, locally and abroad, concerning Digital Platforms, Cloud Computing, Mobile Technologies and Artificial /Business Intelligence. Later in his career, he embarked on obtaining an ACCA qualification and shifted his interests into consultancy and general business advice. Dennis oversees international clients and assists them in their marketing strategies and internationalization processes to use Malta as hub for Europe and North Africa.He regularly attends Trade Missions and Government Business Delegations in order to attract Foreign Direct Investment to Malta.
He has considerable experience in Financial Services, including Tax Planning and Group Structures, Vessel Registrations, Pharmaceuticals, Gaming, Fintech, Anti Money Laundering and Combatting of Financial Crime.Dennis also holds directorships in various companies: he is the Former Council Member on the board regularizing the Professions Complimentary to Medicine – Ministry of Health; Sub-Committee Member with the Malta Maritime LawAssociation for Merchant Shipping and Ship Registration and Yachting; ICO Bench Expert and Member of the Blockchain Island Club; and a member of the Malta Chamber of Commerce Enterprise and Industry in various business sections. He regularly attends seminars and courses to keep constantly updated on new regulations and is frequently invited to speak at local and international gatherings.
Isaac Sammut graduated with a Masters in Asian and International Studies from the University of Nottingham in 2018, spending a semester in Ningbo, China. He also graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in European Studies with Communications from the University of Malta in 2017 and is a Prince 2 Certified Practitioner. After his graduation in 2018, he was employed by the National Regulatory Authority of the communications sector in Malta, where he was directly involved in project management at EU level. Between 2019 and 2022, he was responsible for heading the business development unit at Tech.mt and was primarily engaged in establishing and overseeing all leads and relations with industry, promoting Malta as a quality, creative, tech-savvy country, and as a suitable set-up for FDI, whilst also promoting the local technological industries abroad. He also was a lecturer on Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Business at one of Malta’s Institutes of Higher Education.Isaac is the Business Development Manager within KSi Malta and is involved in identifying new business development and growth opportunities, whilst building long term relationships with new and existing customers.
