Speakers
Josef Portelli - Managing Director, ReAPS Asset Management & Head of Investment Management, APS Bank

Josef has a degree in Accountancy from the University of Malta and was awarded the CFA designation in 2005. He started his portfolio management career with HSBC in Malta in 2002, then moved to London in 2005 where he managed fixed income portfolios with ACPI Investments and then headed the discretionary bond portfolio offering at RBC Investment Management UK.

In 2012 he joined Invesco Asset Management in London, managing the firm’s flagship global bond funds. In 2018, he joined APS Bank in Malta to head ReAPS Asset Management, managing the business and overseeing its funds and portfolios.

He is experienced in business management, portfolio management and investment process re-engineering.

Kenneth Genovese - Head of Investment Distribution, APS Bank

With more than 30 years' experience in Malta's financial services sector, Kenneth leads APS Bank's investment advisory, pensions, bancassurance, and high-net-worth client services, with a focus on business development, client relationships, and helping customers achieve their financial goals.

Throughout his career, he has built and led successful sales and advisory teams, contributing to the growth of investment, pension, and insurance services. He is passionate about promoting financial literacy, retirement planning, and investor education, and has played an important role in developing savings and pension solutions in Malta.

He is also an experienced lecturer and public speaker, delivering training and presentations on investments, pensions, financial planning, and business topics at industry events and professional development programmes.
