Dr Ian Borg

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism

Dr Ian Borg is the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Malta. He is actively engaged in political and diplomatic efforts to consolidate Malta’s standing at bilateral and multilateral levels, forging effective relationships with countries and organisations worldwide in pursuit of peace and security. Internationally, Dr Borg chairs the OSCE’s Asian Partners for Cooperation Group and the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group. He also served as President of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe during Malta’s 2025 Presidency, chaired the UN Security Council in February 2023 and April 2024, and was the 2024 OSCE Chair-in-Office. Recognised by European Voice and Forbes for his leadership, Dr Borg holds a Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta and began his political career as Mayor of Dingli at the age of 19.

Alan Borg

Chief Executive Officer, Malta International Airport

Alan Borg joined Malta International Airport in 2007 as Airline Marketing Manager, successfully leading efforts to secure better air connectivity for the Maltese Islands. Rising to Chief Commercial Officer in 2012, he drove revenue diversification through projects like SkyParks Business Centre. For the past decade as CEO, Alan has made diversification, sustainability, and service excellence the pillars of his leadership. In 2023, he was elected to Airports Council International Europe’s Regional Board, representing Malta’s aviation interests on the European stage.

David PaceSenior Partner,

KPMG Malta

David Pace is the Senior Partner of KPMG in Malta and heads the Clients and Markets function of the KPMG Islands Group, which unites over 3,000 professionals across 11 island locations. Based in Malta, he also leads one of the island’s largest advisory practices. Over his 20+ year career, David has guided organisations through debt and equity financing, asset valuations, and complex M&A deals. Increasingly, he advises family businesses on strategy and succession planning, drawing on extensive experience from small enterprises to billion-euro valuations. He is also a strong advocate for entrepreneurship and a past Chairperson of the JAYE Malta Foundation.
