Janos Barberis – Co-Founder, Supercharger Ventures
Janos has an extensive track record in FinTech, recognised as the 32nd Most Powerful Dealmaker globally (Institutional Investors, 2018). His accelerator cohorts have helped 49 start-ups raise over $500 million, many of which are now leading FinTech companies. He is currently building the largest EdTech Accelerator in the world, operating from Malta, with a goal of supporting 1,000+ companies by 2025. In addition, he is developing a platform focused on founder mental health and well-being.
Ruth DeBrincat – Senior Director, Policy and Technical Affairs, National Skills Council – MaltaRuth DeBrincat is the Senior Director for Policy and Technical Affairs at the National Skills Council of Malta, leading efforts to bridge the gap between education and industry while shaping future workforce strategies. She is actively involved in stakeholder engagement and sectoral dialogues, driving policy changes to support skills development. Ruth is also spearheading Malta’s first National Skills Strategy, due for publication in late 2025. Her expertise includes skills intelligence, adult learning incentives, and the impact of megatrends on workforce evolution. Previously, she held leadership roles in research and innovation policy at the Malta Council for Science and Technology and in environmental policy at the Environment and Climate Change Directorate.
