MBN UK invites you to support Save Valletta Skyline and attend an evening with James Holland, celebrated historian, author and broadcaster on Tuesday September 17th, 2019 at the Royal Air Force Club in London.
Titled Malta: An Island Under Siege (1940-1942), James will recount the island’s incredible story of defiance, bloody mindedness and bare-faced courage. This will be followed by a short meet-and-greet with guests. James, who is known for penning a number of popular books, as well as his documentaries on the BBC, has a long-standing passion for the history of Malta, and is looking forward to helping to raise funds for this important cause.
The event is in aid of Save Valletta Skyline and the restoration work on St. Paul’s Anglican Pro-Cathedral, which this year is also celebrating its 175th birthday in November. The talk will be held in the Sovereign’s Room of the Royal Air Force Club, 128 Piccadilly, London W1J 7PY on Tuesday 17th September 2019. Doors open at 6.00 pm for a 6.30 pm start. Places are limited and pre-booking is essential.
Admission is via a suggested donation of £40 per person, to include a wine reception, with a book signing session afterwards. This is the first of an InSpire series of talks and lectures in aid of the ‘Save Valletta’s Skyline’ Appeal.
